when processing an order we often have to contact the customer, and making a change in the customer notes etc is great for this as any member of staff can see what we have emailed the customer. However the customer hits reply and responds to the message and it comes through to the main email account associated with VM.
I know this is a major task, but it would be fantastic to be able to specify another email address that can be used for this, and have a system that received those responses into the same customer notes area. That way any member of staff can view the response. There would probably have to be a way of entering some kind of id info into the email to track the order number, but I expect the main difficulty is actually receiving the email by the site rather than the desktop email client.
Don't know if this is any help - php and pear to insert data from email into database which i assume is all we need to do to get customer email replies in the order history,
